06 March 2025, MANILA - Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Antonio Morales, met with the Chief Justice of the Philippines on 21 February 2025 to discuss the continued implementation of the Philippines-Australia Plan of Action 2023-2026, specifically on law and justice cooperation and the promotion of inclusive, rights-based justice.

A key focus of the discussions was the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Judicial Cooperation between the Philippines and Australia, which aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, capacity building, and best practices in legal and judicial processes. This agreement strengthens the long-standing legal partnership between both countries and enhances efforts to uphold the rule of law.

The meeting also highlighted the progress of the Fostering Advancement of Inclusive and Rights-based (FAIR) Justice Program, which seeks to ensure accessible and equitable justice for all Filipinos. Through this initiative, the Philippine judiciary continues to promote reforms that enhance legal aid services, judicial efficiency, and the protection of human rights. - END
