06 December 2023 – Three New Colombo Plan Scholars for the year 2024 called on Ambassador Ma. Hellen De La Vega and on other officers of the Philippine Embassy.

The three scholars are set to leave for the Philippines to pursue studies in the fields of society and culture. Mr. Harry Cope from Australian National University and Mr. Thomas White from Monash University, both taking up Political Science, will study at the University of the Philippines in Diliman Quezon City. Ms. May Labios from Macquarie University will pursue studies in Psychology at the Ateneo De Manila University.

The New Colombo Plan is an initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region. -- END --
