19 September 2023, CANBERRA – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra Bowling Team secured the championship at the 5th ASEAN Family Bowling Tournament on 16 September 2023. The High Commission of Brunei Darussalam was the 1st runner-up.

The members of the Philippine Embassy bowling team were First Secretary and Consul General Aian Caringal, Mr. Rodrigo Gavino, Mr. Arvin Martinez, Mr. Jessie Lucas, Mr. Lazaro de Luna and Mr. Alexander Castillon.

The bowling tournament was organized by the ASEAN Committee in Canberra under the chairmanship of the Embassy of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Officials from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade participated in the tournament.

In 2017, the Philippine Embassy launched the inaugural ASEAN Family Bowling Tournament to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN. -- END
