CANBERRA, Australia – In celebration of Philippines-Australia Friendship Day on 22 May 2019, the Philippine Embassy in Canberra highlights the importance of today’s youth in building and strengthening bridges between the Philippines and Australia.
Ambassador De La Vega said, “I recall my engagement with young delegates of the Australia-ASEAN Youth Forum in Adelaide, South Australia, who were keen to have a deeper appreciation of Australia’s relations with the Philippines. My exchanges with them affirmed my belief that the youth play an important role in nurturing the friendship between the Philippines and Australia.”
As part of this celebration, the Philippine Embassy will also shine the light on Filipino Student Organizations all over Australia who promote Filipino culture and heritage as the Philippines’ youth ambassadors.
