Philippine Embassy Congratulates Rejoice Thomson, Brisbane’s Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year

04 November 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra congratulates Ms. Rejoice Guevara-Thomson who was awarded Multicultural Entrepreneur of the Year by Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner at the 2021 Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Dinner and Awards held on 28 October 2021, an annual event to celebrate the contributions of multicultural businesses to the Brisbane economy and community through their creativity, innovation and resilience.
Ms. Thomson was born in the Philippines and relocated to Brisbane, Queensland in 2009. She is a Pastry Chef and owner of Dovetail on Overend and Dovetail Social. She has embraced her Philippine cultural heritage by showcasing Filipino influences in her food, desserts, and the “Ambassador’s High Tea”, inspired by the visit of Philippine Ambassador to Australia, Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega in June 2021. END
