Ambassador Ernesto H. De Leon handed over the Sto. Nino to Mrs. Lyn Dole, officer of the Philippine Cultural Society during the 7th Sinulog at the Hall. The Sinulog has been held every year in Canberra since 2003, to honor the Sto. Nino, or the child Jesus. It is fundamentally a dance ritual which commemorates both the Filipino people's pagan past and their embrace of Christianity.
