Philippine Ambassador visits PH retailer Frankie General Store in Paddington

10 December 2021, CANBERRA – Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega visited for the first-time Philippine retailer Frankie General Store in Paddington in New South Wales on 08 December. Frankie opened in March this year and is the first international store of Frankie General Store that opened in the Philippines in 2018.
Frankie General Store which offers a range of fashion items and home pieces promotes Conscious Consumption. The products it offers fall into three categories: sustainability, slow & ethical fashion, and small-batch handmade creations, making it a true platform for small businesses and social entrepreneurs. Ambassador De La Vega said, “Frankie General Store highlights the world-renowned craftsmanship of the Filipino and proves that Filipino brands may compete in the upscale and trendy lifestyle market of Australia.” The Ambassador expressed pride that Frankie was able to survive the Sydney lockdown through its online presence.
