On 11 October 2022, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, Her Excellency Hae Kyong Yu, presented her credentials to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Malacañang Palace.

Ambassador Yu is a senior career officer with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and prior to her assignment in the Philippines, she was most recently the Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy in Japan.

Having celebrated the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations in 2021, the Philippines and Australia are committed to advance the historic and dynamic partnership to contribute to shared stability and prosperity as well as regional security.
