10 October 2022, CANBERRA – In celebration of the Museums and Galleries Month in the Philippines, Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega met Dr. Mathew Trinca, Director of the National Museum of Australia on 07 October 2022 to discuss possible areas of cooperation to implement the Executive Program 2022- 2026 of the 1977 Philippines-Australia Cultural Agreement. The Executive Program, signed in February 2022, was proposed by the Philippines as part of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of bilateral relations in 2021. Director Trinca proposed joint cooperation to enhance capability development of museum practice in the region.
