13 October 2025, Canberra – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canberra successfully conducted the last mobile consular mission for 2025 in Queensland, Australia from 06 to 10 October 2025. The Embassy provided a total of 235 consular services divided into the following consular services:

The Embassy team included Consul Rainier J. Casis, Ms. Remedios Alcazar, Ms. Mary Irene Sadang, Ms Norain Sampao, and Mr. Jessie Lucas. MWO-Canberra Labor Attaché Melissa Mendizabal and Mr. Oscar Anthony David also joined the team to provide MWO services. Supported by Honorary Consul Sheryll Lucelle Gabutero and the staff of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Brisbane and members of the Filipino Community in Queensland, the mobile consular mission offered essential services to the expanding Filipino community in Queensland, alleviating the need for them to travel to Philippine Foreign Service Posts in Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne.
Based on the 2021 Australian census, there are over 73,000 Filipinos and Australians of Filipino descent in the State of Queensland. - END
