26 September 2022, CANBERRA – Philippine Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega met the Minister for Resources, the Hon. Madeleine King MP, on 26 September 2022 in Parliament House. Ms. King is also the Minister for Northern Australia. The Ambassador congratulated the Minister on her election and updated her on the progress and developments in the Philippines-Australia relations. They discussed the strengthening of economic cooperation, including exploring possible engagement on best practices in responsible mining and ensuring environmental protection. Minister King noted the large Filipino community in Western Australia and their significant contribution to the growth of the State.
