20 September 2022 – The Filipino Community in Penrith, New South Wales celebrated in person the Feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia after two years. The celebration started with novena and mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church and was followed by a fluvial procession and fellowship at the Nepean River.

In her message to the community, Ambassador De La Vega congratulated the Australian Devotees of our Lady of Peñafrancia (ADOLF) and their leadership in ensuring that the younger generations of Filipino Australians in NSW and the rest of Australia continue to promote the cultural value of Filipino religiosity. She also advocated the shared commitment to grow and strengthen the Filipino community. --End—
