Governor Mujiv Hatamanof the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) visited Australia this month upon the invitation of the Australian Government under its Special Visits Program (SVP) for foreign government officials. The aim of the visit is to provide an opportunity to the Governor to gain a better understanding of Australian Government policies and approaches on a wide range of topics, including Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism issues, indigenous and multicultural affairs, women empowerment, emergency management and services, engagement with community groups and civil society, as well as to experience Australian culture and values.
