Ambassador De La Vega promotes education cooperation on meeting with Charles Darwin University

06 July 2022, CANBERRA – Philippine Ambassador to Australia Ma. Hellen De La Vega met Charles Darwin University Vice Chancellor and President Professor Scott Bowman on 28 June 2022 at the Charles Darwin University (CDU). He was accompanied by Vice President for Global and External Relations Jenny Roberts and CDU Global Director Joanne Crystal.

Ambassador De La Vega pointed out that education cooperation is part of the Philippines - Australia Plan of Action and that education will jumpstart enhanced Philippine connectivity with the Northern Territory. With CDU’s advanced capabilities in manufacturing and 3D printing, it can help Philippine research translate into commercial applications.

CDU is based in the Northern Territory with campuses and delivery sites in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Alice Springs, Palmerston, Katherine, and in remote locations in Jabiru, Tennant Creek and Yulara. CDU has dual-sector status that can offer both academic-based and vocational education.--END
