06 July 2022, CANBERRA – Migration NT Director Pompea Sweet and Executive Director Tracy Clark of the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade gave a briefing to Philippine Ambassador Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega on 28 June 2022. They informed her of the Northern Territory’s current need to fill workforce shortages in healthcare, construction, automotive industry, tourism/hospitality, and education sectors. Migration NT is instrumental in global work attraction campaigns and awareness providing migration options for workers and business investors.

Ambassador De La Vega informed Director Sweet that the Philippines has a matured overseas deployment program and could assist the Northern Territory in its workforce needs. She introduced Labor Attache Felicitas Bay to progress discussions with NT on this matter. --END
