The Philippine Embassy serviced 891 Filipinos, comprising 761 passport applicants and 130 petitioners for dual citizenship, through its Mobile Passport Biometrics Service and Dual Citizenship Oath Taking in Queensland earlier this month.
The Embassy’s mobile team visited Rockhampton City on 01 – 02 August 2012 and Brisbane on 03 – 04 August 2012.
Despite the long queues, the Embassy team, led by Mr. Carlomagno Estole, Attaché, and composed of Consular Assistants Mr. Joel Bulos and Ms. Madelaine David, persevered in attending to the consular needs of Filipinos in Rockhampton, Brisbane and those from neighboring towns who flocked to the mobile site.
The Philippine Embassy will continue with its efforts to reach a wider number of Filipinos in Australia.
Mobile Consular Missions are scheduled in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, particularly in:
Darwin on 31 August – 1 September 2012 at the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory, located at Shop 15, Malak Shopping Centre, Malak, NT, and
Perth on 23 – 24 November 2012 (Venue to be announced).
