The Philippine Embassy serviced 274 Filipinos, comprising of 271 passport applicants and 3 petitioners for dual citizenship, through its Mobile Passport Biometrics Service and Dual Citizenship Oath Taking in Darwin, the Northern Territory during a two-day mission on 31 August and 1 September 2012.
Consul Nina P. Cainglet led the Embassy team in Darwin, accompanied by Mr. Carlomagno Estole, Attaché, and Ms. Madelaine David, Consular Assistant.
The Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Darwin, headed by Honorary Consul General Januario John Rivas provided the much needed support to ensure the smooth and organized conduct of the mobile mission.
For the remainder of 2012, the Philippine Embassy is slated to conduct its mobile mission in Perth, Western Australia as part of its efforts to bring its consular services closer to a wider number of Filipinos in Australia.
The mobile mission in Perth will be held on 23 – 24 November 2012 at the Australian Asian Association located at 275 Stirling Street, Perth, WA 6000.
Applicants for the Perth Mission are advised to submit their passport applications with payment (in Postal Money Order) directly to the Embassy at least two weeks before the scheduled service for processing and advanced encoding. Priority will be given to applicants who had their applications pre-encoded.
