The AU Government has advised that foreign nationals transiting through Australia for a period of 72 hours or less are no longer required to apply for an individual exemption from the Australian Border Force. Transit visa requirements still apply:
For transits less than 8 hours:
• those who are not from an eligible country to transit without a visa require a transit visa (or another valid Australian visa)
• all travellers must have evidence of their onward flight
For transits 8-72 hours:
• all travellers require a transit visa
• all travellers must have evidence of their onward flight
• all travellers should check state/territory health requirements –

QLD: international transiting passengers no longer require a QLD entry pass. If a border declaration is required it will be processed at the airport
