14 April 2021 – The Embassy is pleased to announce that the mobile consular mission and overseas voters registration in Darwin, NT that was supposed to take place in August 2020 but was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions will now proceed on 27-29 April 2021. The mobile consular mission will serve the confirmed passport applicants who successfully registered last year. As the three day service already has a full line-up of confirmed applicants, the mission's three-member passport team will be unable to accommodate additional passport applicants at this time.
The mission and registration will be held under prevailing COVID-19 safety regulations including physical distancing and sanitizing of passport equipment. The Embassy will appreciate the understanding and cooperation of the public as the Embassy resumes the conduct of mobile consular missions in compliance with COVID-19 safety regulations.
Filipinos who were not able to register last year for the mission and whose passports have a validity of less than six months are requested to contact the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Darwin or send an email to passport@philembassy.org.au to inquire on the process of extending passport validity. If the passport is expired and you need to have it renewed, you may wish to consider setting an appointment with the Philippine Embassy in Canberra or the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney. -- END
