Advisory on Embassy Operations during ACT Lockdown

17 September 2021, CANBERRA – The ACT government has extended the state-wide ACT lockdown until 15 October 2021, 11:59 PM.

In compliance with this directive, the Embassy of the Philippines in Canberra will implement the following changes for in-person consular services for ACT residents:

  1. The Philippine Embassy will be open for urgent in-person consular transactions (passport, notarial, NBI fingerprinting, and overseas voter registration) from 10:00am to 4:00pm, Mondays to Fridays. Bookings can be made through https://booking.philembassy.org.au.

    2. If you can defer your appointment until after the lockdown period, we encourage you to do so.

  2. Only clients with bookings will be allowed to enter the Embassy at the time of their appointment. No accompanying persons will be allowed to enter. Clients will be required to wear masks and check in via the CBR QR code before entering the building.

  3. If you have been to an ACT COVID-19 exposure site or are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please cancel your appointment in the interest of public health.

Due to travel restrictions as a result of the ACT lockdown, all in-person appointments for consular services are limited to ACT residents. All consular clients residing outside ACT are requested to schedule a new appointment once the lockdown has been lifted through https://booking.philembassy.org.au.

The Embassy continues to accept by mail all applications passport extension, civil registry, dual citizenship and NBI services. Information on documentary and other requirements may be accessed through www.philembassy.org.au.
