MIGRANT WORKERS OFFICE (MWO) Advisory 03, Series of 2024

(Name Hire/Direct Hire)

Jurisdiction: Australia, Vanuatu, Nauru, New Caledonia and Tuvalu

A. REQUIREMENTS FOR VERIFICATION OF EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTS FOR NAME HIRE/DIRECT HIRE

  1. Employment contract with the signed addendum attached as Annex A, signed on all pages by the employer and the worker
  2. Photocopy of the passport of the worker
  3. Photocopy of the visa of the worker
  4. Photocopy of company's business registration/license
  5. Photocopy of valid ID of employer (passport or driver's license)
  6. Company certification/declaration signed by authorized signatory of the company using their letterhead that:
    • They have not hired more than 5 Filipino workers processed under Name Hire in DMW and
    • The company has not partnered with a Philippine recruitment agency to process the deployment of their workers.
  7. Verification Fee: AU$54.00
    • Payable to MWO-Philippine Embassy via Australian Post Money Order or Bank Cheque.
    • Please write the Worker’s Name at the back of the Money Order.
  8. Express Prepaid Return Envelope
    • Fill out the company return address details completely.

The DMW Endorsement Letter for the exemption from the ban on direct hiring, along with the verified employment documents, must be sent to the worker in the Philippines. The worker will then submit these documents to the DMW for the evaluation and processing of the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC). The DMW process for Name Hire may take at least two weeks.
