15 December 2023, CANBERRA – Philippine Honorary Consul General Bong Serrano successfully assisted Mr. Crocqhenry Lucero in obtaining a copy of his birth records from the Vanuatu Department of Civil Registry and Identity Management office in Port Vila.

Mr. Lucero is the first Filipino born in Vanuatu based on records. He was named after the Le Lagon Hotel piano bar “Henry Crocq” in Port Vila where his mother, Ms. Vivian Lucero, a well-known singer and recording artist in Vanuatu, used to perform in the 1980s. She was known for the hit song “Come Back Again” which she sang in Bislama, a major language in Vanuatu.

The Lucero family is now based in Newcastle, Australia where Crocqhenry has his own band “The Crocqs”, which occasionally performs with his mother and uncle who comprise the duo “Talk of the Town”. END
