Philippine Embassy Joins Commemoration of Remembrance Day

10 November 2023, CANBERRA – Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Ma. Hellen De La Vega, accompanied by Col. Paul Aviquivil, Assistant Defense and Armed Forces Attaché joined the observance of Remembrance Day. They laid a wreath at the Stone Remembrance in the Australian War Memorial to honour those who sacrificed and gave their lives in World War I.

The Philippines and Australia have a longstanding and robust defense and security partnership rooted in shared values of democracy, respect for human rights, and commitment to the rule of law. Having stood side by side since World War II, the two nations continue to maintain a resilient and dynamic defense and security cooperation. -END-
