14 March 2025, CANBERRA – The Philippine Embassy in Australia met with the Australian National University Filipino Association (ANUFA) on 13 March 2025 in a virtual engagement to explore collaborative initiatives in social, cultural, academic, and community affairs. The discussion focused on initiatives to assist newly arrived Filipino students in adjusting to life in Australia by providing essential guidance on academic life, entitlements and regulations, and integration.

Other topics discussed included upcoming events such as ANU Toad Hall’s Multicultural Festival, the celebration of the Philippines-Australia Friendship Day, and Independence Day, as well as academic collaborations, outreach, and digital media partnerships aimed at further engaging Filipino students across universities in the ACT.

The Philippine Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Filipino students in Australia by fostering awareness, stronger community engagement and the promotion of the Filipino heritage and people-to-people links between the Philippines and Australia. END
