Philippine Ambassador Welcomes the Participation of UST in the Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition

H.E. Ma. Hellen B De La Vega, Philippine Ambassador to Australia, attended the virtual opening ceremony of the Asia-Pacific Commercial Mediation Competition on 10 September 2021 upon invitation of the Australian Disputes Centre (ADC) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). About 25 universities around the world participated in the competition. The Philippines was represented by the University of Santo Tomas this year.

The ADC and ICC hope to empower and facilitate students’ learning and their application of negotiation skills in a commercial mediation setting and resolve moot problems involving international trade disputes.

Members of the diplomatic community were invited to support the students’ skill-building in international trade. END
