12 October 2022 - Philippine Ambassador Ma. Hellen De La Vega hosted lunch in honor of former Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Steven Robinson and his wife Mrs. Rhonda Robinson on 12 October 2022 and expressed her utmost appreciation for his outstanding contributions in advancing Philippines-Australia relations. Ambassador Robinson served as the Australian Ambassador to the Philippines from 2019-2022 and led enhanced bilateral cooperation in development, security and defense, and trade and investment.

Under his stint, the Philippines and Australia also celebrated 75 years of diplomatic relations in 2021 with the theme, “Mateship and Bayanihan,” which are shared values of friendship, communal unity and solidarity.
