The Philippine Embassy rendered a total of nine hundred eighty-one (981) consular clients during its last mobile consular mission to Melbourne, Victoria from 20 to 24 January 2020.
The Consular Mission was headed by Consul General Aian A. Caringal. Other members of the team were Ms. Rowena Ma. Carmen T. Sierra, Mr. Ruel Peñaflorida and Mr. Roderick B. Sierra (VRM Operator for Voter Registration).
Representatives from the attached agencies, Mr. Antonio Saquing of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Col. Romeo Bautista and TSgt. Ricardo Lasmarias of the Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attache were also present.
The Melbourne Mobile Mission team, with the support of the PH Honorary Consul Mr. Felix Pintado and his volunteer staff, attended to five hundred seventy six (576) Philippine ePassport applicants, administered the oath of allegiance to sixty eight (68) applicants who reacquired their Philippine citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225 or the Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003, processed forty five (45) application for transfer of voting records and registered two hundred ninety one (291) overseas voters.
