11 March 2026, Canberra – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canberra successfully conducted the first student centered Post Arrival Orientation Seminar. The Embassy likewise conducted a consular mobile mission from 01 to 05 March 2026 and provided a total of 446 consular services divided into the following consular services:
| Service | Volume |
| Passport | 360 |
| Dual Citizenship | 84 |
| Civil Registry | 3 |
The Embassy team included Consul Rainier J. Casis, Vice Consul Erika Henri Laudencia, Mr. Rodrigo Gavino, and Mr. Jessie Lucas. MWO-Canberra Labor Attaché Melissa Mendizabal also joined the team to provide MWO services. Supported by Honorary Consul Melissa Aguasa, staff of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Perth and members of the Filipino Community in Perth, the mobile consular mission offered essential services to the expanding Filipino community in Western Australia, alleviating the need for them to travel to Philippine Foreign Service Posts in Canberra, Sydney, or Melbourne.
Based on the Post’s latest Report to Congress, there are over 46,785 Filipinos and Australians of Filipino descent in Western Australia. - END
