23 April 2025, CANBERRA— The Philippine Ambassador to Australia Antonio A. Morales Embassy conducted the oath-taking of the new officers of the Filipino Community Council of the Australian Capital Territory (FCCACT) during the Induction Ceremony on 15 April 2025 at the Philippine Embassy.

In his remarks, Ambassador Morales recognized the vital role of Filipino community organizations in fostering connection and supporting Kababayans in the ACT and across Australia and highlighted the spirit of service, unity, and inclusive leadership.

“Leadership is most meaningful when it is rooted in service,” Ambassador Morales said, emphasizing the importance of empathy, humility, and bayanihan—the Filipino value of communal unity. He encouraged leaders to reach out to all sectors of the community, including students, workers, and those who may be facing challenges and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting the Filipino community in all its diversity.

“We look forward to working hand in hand with community organizations in promoting our culture, supporting our Kababayans, and building a stronger, more inclusive community”, Ambassador Morales shared.

The newly inducted FCCACT officers are:
