22 June 2022 – The Mayor of Narromine Shire Council, Mayor Craig Davies, called on H.E. Ma. Hellen De La Vega on 21 June 2022 to discuss possible cooperation between the Philippines and the Narromine Shire Council in New South Wales.

Narromine Shire is a rapidly developing shire in Central New South Wales Australia, located appoximately 430 kms north west of Sydney and 35 kms from the regional city of Dubbo. Given current developments in agriculture and light manufacturing industries, Mayor Davies is expecting the skills requirement in the shire to increase in the next three to five years.

The State of New South Wales (NSW) hosts the largest concentration of Filipinos in Australia. With an estimated population of 120,000 across NSW, the contributions of Filipinos and Filipino-Australians to the growth and cultural diversity of the State is widely acknowledged. ---END---
