HimiGrasyon 2021: Song writing contest

27 August 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra invites all Filipino composers and songwriters, and music enthusiasts based in Australia to join the first Commission of Filipino Overseas’ (CFO) songwriting contest. The contest aims to raise public awareness on the life of our overseas Filipinos, the issues and challenges they face abroad.

It is open to all Filipino composers and songwriters, and music enthusiasts based in the Philippines and overseas. The song entry must be an original work of the contestant and may be written in any song genre. The lyrics should be in Filipino or English (or combination of both) and must embody the inspiring and challenging life of an overseas Filipino and their migration journey. The deadline for the submission of entries is on October 31, 2021.
