The Philippine Embassy in Canberra is pleased to inform the public of the positive outcome of the 33rd round of Formal Exploratory Talks between the negotiating panels of the Government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 12-17 November 2012. Both panels focused on the negotiation and the drafting of the annexes to the recently signed Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro, particularly on power-sharing, wealth-sharing and the normalization process.

The negotiating panels expressed optimism that the annexes to the comprehensive peace pact will be finished before the end of 2012, the mutually agreed upon deadline.
