There is no truth to the rumour circulating in social media that the Philippines and Australia have signed a bilateral agreement allowing Filipino visitors to enter Australia visa free for ninety (90) days.
Similarly, visa regulations for Australians visiting the Philippines remain unchanged. Australians who are traveling to the Philippines for business or tourism purposes are allowed to enter the country without a visa for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they are holders of a passport valid for a period of at least six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay, and possess a return or outbound ticket to their country of origin or next country of destination.
For stays longer than 30 days, Australians must apply for appropriate visas at the Philippine Embassy in Canberra or at the nearest Philippine Consulate.
