EMBASSY ADVISORY 1-05-09 E-PORN PROHIBITED BY AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMS

Pornographic materials, particularly those of minors or those that offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety are prohibited to be brought into Australia. This is being enforced strictly by the Australian Customs at all ports of entry.

All persons entering Australia, specially those bringing laptop or notebook computers are advised to refrain from storing pornographic data or materials in their computer or data storage devise. Violators shall be subjected to immediate apprehension and detention by the Australian Customs and prosecuted in accordance with Australian laws.
