ADVISORY ON CURRENT TRANSIT REGULATIONS AT THE KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KLIA)
The Embassy informs the Filipino Community in Australia, Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu on the current transit regulations in KLIA as shared by the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.
- Malaysian Airport Authorities strictly prohibit the transfer of passengers arriving at KLIA Terminal 1 to KLIA Terminal 2, which is used by Air Asia, Cebu Pacific, Jetstar, and other budget airlines. Passengers should ensure that the connecting flight from Malaysia to the Philippines departs in the same terminal of their arrival to avoid any inconvenience including being stranded in Malaysia.
- Transiting passengers who have not completed Malaysia’s entry requirements are not allowed to enter even if the Philippines has a 14-day visa waiver agreement with Malaysia (ASEAN).
