2nd ADVISORY ON MOBILE CONSULAR MISSION TO BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND

14 August 2023 – Further to the Embassy’s earlier advisory dated 23 June 2023 on the upcoming mobile consular mission in Brisbane, all CONFIRMED applicants for passport and dual citizenship oath-taking are informed that the venue is Eatons Hill Hotel, 646 South Pine Road, Eatons Hill QLD 4037. Please strictly follow the schedule you have secured and instructions provided by the Embassy. Confirmed passport applicants will receive an email prior to the mobile mission dates providing reminders and additional information.

Passports. The public is informed that additional appointment slots for passport applicants in the morning of 1 September 2023 will be opened by 14 August 2023. Dual Citizenship Oath Taking. For Dual Citizenship applicants who already received approval letters from the Philippine Embassy, please send an email by the deadline of 18 August 2023 with subject Brisbane Mobile Mission to dualcitizenship@philembassy.org.au and attach a copy of the approval letter from the Consul General so that you can be booked for an appointment for the Oath-taking Ceremony (8:00 am, 29 and 30 August 2023) during the upcoming mobile mission. As the oath-taking requires prior preparation by the Embassy of documents to be signed in person, participants to the oath-taking ceremony will be strictly limited to those who have confirmed prior appointments for oath-taking. Overseas Voting Registration. Qualified voters, i.e. Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years old on 12 May 2025, in Brisbane are encouraged to register for the overseas absentee voting (OAV) for the 2025 Philippine National Elections.

First time overseas voters, transfer of registration records, correction of entries, reactivation and changes of address will be accommodated. No appointment is needed for the OAV registration. Walk-in applicants are welcome.

The overseas voting period for the 2025 Philippine National Elections will take place on 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025.

To register, all applicants must accomplish the Overseas Voter Registration Form (OVF1) and personally submit the same to the mobile consular mission in Brisbane on 28 to 01 September 2023. Applicants must bring the following requirements:

  1. Accomplished OVF-1; and
  2. Valid Philippine passport or other acceptable valid Philippine IDs plus one photocopy.
Other acceptable Philippine IDs (if not yet expired):
  • (for Dual citizens under RA 9225) Original or certified true copy of the Order of Approval issued by the Embassy or Identification Certificate issued by the Embassy or the Philippine Bureau of Immigration;
  • (for seafarers) photocopy of Seafarer’s Book;
  • National identification (ID) card under the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys);
  • Postal ID card;
  • PWD ID Card;
  • Senior Citizen's ID card;
  • Driver's license;
  • NBI clearance;
  • SSS/GSIS or other UMID ID card;
  • Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID card; or
  • License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).
