12 January 2017 - The Philippine Embassy is pleased to announce that the Mobile Consular Mission to Darwin, Northern Territory will be on 04-05 April 2017 (Tuesday-Wednesday) from 8AM to 5PM at the Office of the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory, Malak Shopping Centre, Malak NT 0812. The Embassy will now start accepting applications until all slots are filled up.

During the mobile mission, the Embassy will field personnel who will (a) attend to passport applications, (b) administer the oath of allegiance to petitioners for dual citizenship and (c) register qualified overseas Filipino voters.

Applicants are required to secure an appointment/slot with the Embassy (see instructions below). Walk-in applicants WILL NOT be accommodated.



To secure an appointment, please mail the following to the Philippine Embassy, 1 Moonah Place, Yarralumla, ACT 2600:

    1.       A duly accomplished ePassport Application Form with the following supporting documents:     

       a. Photocopy of data page of current passport; and
       b. Photocopy of Australian visa.

    2.       Additional requirements for the following:

  • For women changing status from single to married – the original and copy of Report of Marriage or NSO-authenticated Marriage Certificate.
  • For those applying for a new passport – the original and a copy of Report of Birth or NSO-authenticated Birth Certificate.
  • If a dual citizen - a photocopy of the Identification Certificate, Oath of Allegiance and Order.
  • If old passport is lost - an Affidavit of Loss, Police Report, plus same requirements as for new passport.

It is important that applicants provide contact information (e-mail address preferred) in the Application Form so the Embassy can send an email confirming receipt and approval of the application and informing the applicant of the date and time of his appointment. Only those with complete requirements will be granted an appointment.

Please note that information on the appointment time/day will be emailed to the applicant not later than 28 February 2017.  

Applicants are advised to check their spam folder as the Embassy’s confirmation email has sometimes ended up in the said folder.

 Applicants are required to bring the following:

       1. Original old/current passport, and

       2. Postal Money Order for the ePassport service fee in the amount of AUD 118.00 payable to the “Philippine Embassy.” Families who may have several members applying for passports may combine the total fee in one money order.


All passports are printed in Manila. From the time of application, it takes approximately 8 to 10 weeks for the Embassy to receive passports from Manila.

Once available, the Embassy will post on its website the list of applicants whose passports are ready for release.To claim your ePassport by mail/post, please send the following to the Embassy at 1 Moonah Place, Yarralumla, ACT 2600 through registered post/express post platinum:

       1.    Original old/current Passport; and
2.    Photocopy of Official Receipt.

The old passport will be cancelled by the Embassy and mailed back to the applicant, together with the new passport.


Former natural-born Filipinos who have acquired citizenship of another country (for example, Australia) can reacquire their Philippine citizenship through the provision of the Philippine law Republic Act 9225 (Citizenship Re-acquisition and Retention Act of 2003).

The registration/certification of qualified overseas Filipinos has resumed for purposes of the 2019 National Election.

All citizens of the Philippines, who are abroad or will be abroad during the thirty (30) day voting period, at least eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the elections and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register.

    1. Completed OVF No.1 form;
    2. Valid Philippine passport to establish his/her identity;
    3. In case of applicants who availed themselves of the “Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition Act” (RA 9225), the original or certified true copy of the Order of Approval of their application to retain or reacquire their Filipino citizenship issued by the FSPs (Embassy/Consulate) or their Identification Certificates issued by the FSPs or the Bureau of Immigration; or,
    4. In case of seafarers, a photocopy of their Seamans Book or any other pertinent document.
