The Philippine Embassy in Canberra wishes to inform the Filipino community in Australia, Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, especially those who are not yet registered as overseas voters (OVs), that the Department of Foreign Affairs Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) launched the iRehistro System on 08 May 2015.


    His Excellency Archbishop Adolfo Tito Yllana, Filipino, arrived in Canberra on 30 April 2015 to assume his post as the Papal Nuncio to Australia.

    Archbishop Yllana will celebrate Masses at St. Christopher’s Cathedral, Manuka on 31 May and 28 June 2015 at 11:00am. The Nuncio and Archbishop Christopher Prowse will concelebrate the mass on Sunday, 31 May 2015 at 11:00am, Trinity Sunday.

    A Welcome Reception by the Embassy and the Filipino Community in Canberra will be held on Sunday, 31 May 2015, 12:30 to 2:30pm at the Conference Room, Rheinberger Function Centre, corner Weston and Loch Streets in Yarralumla. All Filipinos, Catholics and non-Catholics, are invited to warmly welcome the Apostolic Nuncio.

    The Embassy also wishes to enjoin everyone to attend the Masses to be celebrated by Archbishop Yllana on the above dates.
